Altafiber (formerly Cincinnati Bell), a cable, internet and telecom provider, has recently dropped Newsmax to censor our news and your voice!
Altafiber (formerly Cincinnati Bell), is available throughout Southwest Ohio and in parts of Kentucky.
In the middle of negotiations and without notice, Altafiber dropped Newsmax last year!
They did this even though Newsmax is now the 4th highest-rated cable news channel and a top 20 cable channel!
Altafiber dropped Newsmax to keep over 80 channels that have less ratings and who they pay much more money to.
Here are the facts:
Cincinnati Bell/Altafiber claims this was a “business decision”
FACT: Altafiber is keeping 11 liberal news channels but dropping Newsmax
Altafiber says Newsmax is too costly
FACT: Newsmax is seeking about $1 a year per subscriber. Altafiber pays CNN over $12 a year and they pay more than 80 other channels more money than Newsmax – even though they have lower ratings!
Altafiber claims they failed to come to terms with Newsmax
FACT: Altafiber dropped Newsmax as negotiations with their agent, the NCTC, were on-going.
Newsmax negotiated in good faith and actually came to a fair agreement with the NCTC. But now Altafiber won’t sign it!
Altafiber claims Newsmax is “free” via streaming — why should they pay?
FACT: They always knew they would not have to pay while Newsmax was available for free through streaming platforms. Newsmax’s free stream will end soon.
Bottomline: Cincinnati Bell/Altafiber's claims simply don’t add up!
Important: Sen. Rand Paul was outraged Newsmax was dropped as they kept 11 liberal channels.
Sen. Paul and President Trump are urging conservatives in Kentucky and Ohio to cancel their Cincinnati Bell/Altafiber . . . drop their service and reject their marketing offers!
